Mizoram is surrounded in Northeast India by lakes, rivers, valleys, and hills. The state’s climate is always pleasant, with enough of rain. From November to February, it is the coolest. The state receives roughly 100 inches (2,500 mm) of rain every year. Mizoram is bordered on the east and south by Myanmar (Burma), on the northwest by Tripura, and on the west by Bangladesh.
