Day 1 - Haridwar - Guptkashi (210 km/7-8 hr)

As soon as you arrive in Haridwar, the long-awaited Badrinath Kedarnath Dham Yatra begins. You will be met at the Haridwar Railway Station and driven directly to Guptkashi.

The name of this holy location, known as "Hidden Varanasi," is linked to Kedarnath in numerous ways. According to legend, this is where Lord Shiva went to hide when the Pandava brothers were looking for his holy glimpse. Lord Shiva first hid in Guptkashi before ascending to the valley of Kedarnath. The Pandavas eventually saw Him here, and their prayer was granted.
During the winter, while the temple is closed, the pandas (hereditary pilgrimage priests) of Kedarnath dwell in Guptkashi. In addition, the Kedarnath Bigraha (idol) passes via Guptkashi on its way to Ukhimath, where the idol is worshipped for six months throughout the winter.

When you arrive in Guptkashi, check into your accommodation and relax. This location provides pleasant summer weather, with temperatures ranging from 25°C to 30°C. In the evening, pay a visit to the Ardhnarishwar Temple, which is located next to the Vishwanath Temple and features a deity that is half male and half female, representing Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

Stay at the hotel for the night.

Day 2 - Guptkashi - Kedarnath (30 km by road & 16 km Trek)

On day 2 of your Badrinath Kedarnath vacation package, you will get a medical check-up in the morning. It is done to assess your fitness level for the Kedarnath trek, which begins in Sonprayag and ends at 3,583 metres above sea level. Pilgrims are advised to bring personal medicines, heavy woollens, toiletries, and garments because the night would be cold at Kedarnath.

Begin your journey to Kedarnath by pony or Doli from Sonprayag. Check into the pre-arranged guest house upon arrival. After that, visit Kedarnath Darshan, one of India's 12 Jyotirlingas. Attend the evening Aarti at the Kedarnath temple, which is accompanied by holy chants.
The Kedarnath shrine is one of India's four dhams and one of the most prominent pilgrimage locations, set against the magnificent backdrop of the Kedarnath range. Lord Shiva, the God of protection and destruction, is worshipped as Kedarnath in Hinduism. There are numerous theories about how the sacred shrine came to be. It is said that after the Kurukshetra war, the Pandavas went to Kedarnath to atone for their sins by seeing Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva took the appearance of a bull and dove into the ground to avoid the Pandavas, leaving his hump behind. The remaining pieces are located in four different locations, namely Tungnath (arms), Rudranath (face), Madhmaheshwar (belly), and Kalpeshwar (head), resulting in five hallowed temples known as Panch Kedar.

Return to the guest house once the aarti is finished. Spend the night in Kedarnath.

Day 3 - Kedarnath – Guptkashi (19 km down Trek & 30 km/1 hr by Road)

Arrive at the Kedarnath temple before dawn to witness the "Abhishek" ceremony at 4.45 a.m. The devotees can then enter the Garbha Griha and ask for blessings by touching the idol. After that, begin your descent to Sonprayag and drive to Guptkashi. Check into the hotel upon arrival.

Stay at the hotel for the night.

Day 4 - Guptkashi - Badrinath (210 km/7-8hr)

Drive to Badrinath via Joshimath in the morning after breakfast. When you get at Lord Vishnu's hallowed Dham, check into your accommodation and rest. Following that, explore the holy sites of Badrinath, including Tapt Kund, Narad Kund, Brahma Kapal, Sheshnetra, Charan Paduka, Mata Murti Temple, Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, and Vasundhara. In the evening, visit Badrinath and participate in the evening Aarti.

Badrinath is one of India's 'Four Dhams' and the most well-known pilgrimage site. The sacred Dham is located at an elevation of 3,133 metres and is encircled by the two mountain ranges Nar and Narayan, with the backdrop of Neelkanth Peak.

Stay at the hotel for the night.

Day 5 - Badrinath – Rudraprayag (160 km)/Kirti Nagar (190 km)

Rise before dawn and bathe in the warm water of the Tapt Kund, a natural thermal spring, before attending Badrivishal's "Abhishek" ceremony. After that, begin your journey back from Badrinath Kedarnath Dham Yatra. Drive to Rudraprayag/Kirtinagar, stopping in Joshimath along the way.

Badrinath spends the winter in Joshimath. The holy site is located on the mountains above the confluence of the Alaknanda and Dhauliganga rivers. You can visit one of Adi Shankaracharya's four 'Math' centres here. The Badrinath idol is put in the temple and worshipped for six months throughout the winter. You can also pay a visit to the temple of Lord Vishnu's incarnation, Narasimha. Check into your hotel upon arrival in Rudraprayag.

Stay at the hotel for the night.

Day 6 - Rudraprayag to Rishikesh to Haridwar (160 km/5hr)

On the last day of your Badrinath Kedarnath tour, start your journey to Rishikesh early in the morning. Known as the 'place of sages', Rishikesh is a spiritual town located on the banks of Ganga. It is surrounded by the Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. You can visit the famous attractions in Rishikesh, such as Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, and Sivananda Ashram.

Later, get transferred to Haridwar Railway Station/Dehradun Airport, where the sacred journey will end.
