Overview England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland are the four geographical and historical parts of the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom encompasses the majority of the land area and population of the British Isles—the geographical term for the group of islands that includes Great Britain, Ireland, and other smaller islands.

United Arab Emirates

Overview The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is located in the Arabian Peninsula’s southeast, bordering Oman and Saudi Arabia. The UAE established a federation of six emirates in December 1971: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al-Quwain, and Fujairah, with Ras Al Khaimah joining in 1972.
